This Moment

IMG_1002Most of the time we spend most of the time worried about what we need to do, or worrying about what we didn’t do.

One foot in the past and one in the future and our head full of worry and confusion.

The sick thoughts of mistakes and what ifs, the questions for tomorrow and the fears for the future take over and we forget to actually live today.

Right now. This moment. You can take your mind of the worry and you can find peace.

You can let go of your worries and run to peace. The peace that you can only find in Jesus.matthew 11:28

He is standing, just waiting for you to run to him. He may be big, but he’s not scary and he loves you. When you look toward him, even though you can’t meet his eyes: In that moment, you know that your worry is worthless.

Spend some time with him, that’s all he wants from you right now. The longer you look at him, the the bigger you realise he is and the smaller your worries become. Because the more time you spend with him, the more you understand that he has control of your future and has forgiven your past. There really is no need to worry.

When we keep our eyes on Jesus there is peace, even if the hardest times. Even in when the storms come, we can be still and know that he is God.

Leave yesterday where he belongs. Don’t wait until tomorrow, run to Jesus right now. This moment. He is waiting for you.

cast your cares unto the lord
